REFUND POLICY

Refunds, Returns & Exchanges Policy

This Refunds, Returns & Exchanges Policy applies to purchases made in-store and online at Happiness Heals.

Our policy is designed to comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) while also clearly explaining our store conditions for change-of-mind, exchanges and faulty goods.

1. General Policy

We do not offer refunds for change of mind. However, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply.

Within 14 days of purchase, and subject to the conditions below, we may offer:

  • exchange for another item of equal or greater value (with any difference payable by you); or
  • repair or replacement where appropriate and available.

To begin a return or exchange, you must:

  • contact us by email at info@happinessheals.com.au within 14 days of purchase or delivery; and
  • return the item in its original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase.

2. Items Excluded from Return

For hygiene, safety or regulatory reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty:

  • gift cards and vouchers;
  • downloadable or digital products;
  • certain personal-care or topical products (including some sprays, oils, balms and similar items);
  • intimate or body-contact jewellery (e.g. earrings);
  • used or opened products where hygiene may be compromised;
  • intuitive, spiritual or energetic services once delivered.

If you are unsure whether your item is eligible, please contact us before purchasing or returning.

3. Condition of Returned Items

To be eligible for an exchange or store credit (where applicable):

  • items must be unused, in the same condition as received and in original packaging;
  • any included tags, labels, instructions or accessories must be returned;
  • a receipt or proof of purchase is required.

Items that are not in their original condition, are damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error may not be eligible for exchange or may incur a partial credit only, at our discretion.

4. Faulty, Damaged or Misdescribed Items

If a product is faulty, damaged or not as described, we will meet our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to:

  • a repair, replacement or refund; and/or
  • compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Please contact us as soon as possible at info@happinessheals.com.au with:

  • your name and contact details;
  • order number or receipt;
  • clear photos of the product and issue; and
  • a brief description of the problem.

We may ask you to return the item for assessment or repair. If the item is confirmed to have a major failure under the ACL, you will be offered a refund or replacement, and reasonable return shipping costs will be covered.

5. Exchanges

Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm whether your exchange is approved.

If approved:

  • where the same item is in stock, we will send a replacement; or
  • if the same item is not available, we will contact you to arrange an alternative product or store credit.

6. Sale Items

Sale or discounted items are generally not eligible for change-of-mind refunds. However, faulty sale items remain covered by your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and will be repaired, replaced or refunded in line with those rights.

7. Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you may receive a gift credit for the value of your return once the returned item is received and approved.

If the item was not marked as a gift, or the purchaser had the order shipped to themselves, any refund (where applicable) will be processed to the original purchaser, who will then be notified of the return.

Return Shipping Costs

  • For change-of-mind or non-faulty returns, you are responsible for paying your own shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • For faulty, misdescribed or incorrect items, reasonable return shipping costs may be reimbursed once the fault is confirmed.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for an exchanged product to reach you may vary.

For items valued over AUD $75, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item and are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit when returning products to us.

9. Bookings, Courses & Services

For clarity, our bookings and course payment terms are:

  • Deposits for appointments and services are non-refundable. In some cases, at management’s discretion, deposits may be converted to a gift voucher for store products.
  • Bookings may generally be cancelled up to 2 days prior to the appointment (excluding courses), in which case funds paid minus the deposit may be converted into a gift voucher.
  • Missed appointments result in forfeiture of all funds paid. Future appointments may be required to be paid in full.
  • All course payments are non-refundable for change of mind, but your rights under the Australian Consumer Law still apply if a course is not provided with due care and skill, is cancelled by us, or otherwise fails to meet consumer guarantees.

10. Australian Consumer Law Notice

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this Refunds, Returns & Exchanges Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.
